Italian simple future tense

In Italian the simple future tense is used to express actions that will take place in the future, even if this not always true. Italians, in fact, tend to use the present tense also to describe future actions, especially when they are near in time. The future tense can be also used to express an hypothesis, a doubt or a guess.

The Italian verb "piacere" (to like)

In Italian t o talk about things we like we use the verb piacere  that translates the English verb to like. This verb however is not used in the same way as the English verb. To better understand the difference you can read the following example.  In Italian to translate the phrase " We like music" we say " Ci piace la musica" that literally means " Music  pleases to us" .

The Italian adjective “Bello”

Italian adjectives usually are placed after nouns. There are, however, some adjectives that can be placed also before nouns. One of these is the adjective “ bello ” ( beautiful ) that is regular when it follows the noun, but changes its form when it precedes the noun.
